Description
A substantial antique Victorian oak and iron bound silver chest. Riveted iron mounts, iron side handles and an working lock with key. To the front a brass plaque named to Reverend W H Cooper. The heavy hinged lid revealing a coloured paper and green felt lined interior. A lift house section with storage space beneath. A label to the interior lid for Hunt & Roskell, Late Storr and Mortimer, Jewellers, Goldsmiths and Silversmiths to the Queen. Also an engraved brass plaque to the interior lid edge for Hunt & Roskell of New Bont Street, London.
