Description
A Mid Victorian Period pollard oak wellington chest by Edwards & Roberts of London. The rectangular top and carcase veneered in pollard oak on to mahogany. The front having an arrangement of seven graduating mahogany lined drawers retaining the original drawer pulls, with column supports and finely carved floral detail. The right hand column being hinged and acting as the locking mechanism. Complete with working key. The whole raised on a rectangular plinth base. Stamped Edwards & Roberts of London. English circa 1860-1870
