Description
This rug is what I term as semi old. This means between 40-900 years old. Still in good all over pile this rug is considered ‘complete’ (still retains its full borders all the way around.)
The central medallion is based on the dome of a mosque here the proportion is quite small as the rug is unusually longer in proportion than standard length.
The corner spandrels and more like stylised tulips full of motifs as it the whole rug which could be considered busy to some.
The dark indigo field is like a deep pool flanked by the ivory and caramel colour borders which are all full of flora and fauna. One end the caramel border is slightly softer in tone, what we consider an Abrash, generally this is a great rug.
