Description
An intricate little piece in full pile but has lost part of each border to either end which has now been secured but otherwise a lot of life left in this piece so suitable for heavy traffic as the staple of the wool is also strong and robust while the weave is quite fine for a piece from this region.
A bold stylised geometric all over plant design pops out due to the deep dark density of the rich indigo field. The borders being much softer in tone and smaller in scale frame and lift this piece quite beautifully.
The dyes look to be good natural dyes as none are vying for the viewers’ attention.
