Description
18th Century Eight Day Grandfather Clock by Jonathan Lambert of Haxey, Lincolnshire. A Georgian Oak case with Mahogany cross banding and delicate inlays. The hood with swan neck pediment and brass patterae, brass ball finials, floral inlay and two brass capped turned columns. The trunk is similarly inlaid with a cross banded door and is raised on a plinth base.The arch dial is painted with a vase and foliage, gilded gesso spandrels enclosing painted roses and carnations.The dial has Arabic and Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture with blue steel hands.
New gut line fitted. Works clean and fully restored. Sold with a five year mechanical guarantee. Delivery and set up can be arranged.
