Description

An excellent antique 16th century quitclaim document. A quitclaim is where a person renounces or relinquishes a claim to a parcel of land and or property. This document is handwritten in latin on paper and is dated July 20th 1561, during the reign of Elizabeth I.
It comes with a partial translation, and deals with the surnames of Cholmley and Yowertt in Rudby, Bilsdale, Nunthorpe and Ayton, which are all in North Yorkshire, just south of Cleveland.
It retains part of one of the original wax seals.

Good conditiuon for its age, folded and with some staining, all the text is legible.
